A year after Coinbase called for the shutting down of Wikileaks shop, the official shop of Wikileaks, on its merchant network, the online retail store announced the adoption of Dash cryptocurrency.
The acceptance of Dash came only days after the founder of Wikileaks, Jullian Assange, was apprehended by the UK police. Assange, 7 years after seeking refuge at the Ecuadorean embassy in London, was arrested by the UK police over a list of alleged transgressions.
The founder of the government transparency platform WikiLeaks, Assange, is now in the UK custody, and he will be facing extradition to the US for leaking out the largest ever secret of the government in 2010. Also, the Swedish government is considering the revival of a rape and sexual assault suite previously filed against him.
However, as Assange’s arrest spread across the internet, people began to send him donation in crypto to support him. Today’s Gazette reported that within few hours, 2.61BTC ($13,200) had been contributed for the alleged convict in about 20 crypto transactions.
The Dash community was also not left behind. They sent in their support with Dash cryptocurrency, best wishes and purchase of support merchandise. The affiliate shop of the government transparency platform, Wikileaks Shop, also remunerated Dash supporters by listing the crypto graphic project on its platform as payment option.
Hey @wikileaks and @WikiLeaksShop the $Dash community would love to donate to help during this difficult time, but neither the shop nor the defense fund accepts Dash (but accept other cryptos). Can we resolve this? Thanks!

Although the development is seen as an adoption opportunity for Dash cryptocurrency, but the crypto coin is yet to integrated on the platform at the time of writing.
