The rousing question of whether there can possible crypto merger between any two blockchain project in the space seems to getting answers as a news revealed that the founder of Litecoin (LTC) blockchain technology, Charlie Lee has reinvested his interest in the possible merging of its cryptocurrency and Monero (XMR).
Previously around January, it was reported that that the founder of Monero (XMR), Riccardo Spagni disclosed that himself and Charlie Lee are discussing the possible merging of the two blockchain project which will give rise to a new one that could be tagged LAMEA.
Charlie responded on his twitter page that even though Spagni was kidding about the claim, it would be nice if the two project can merge.
After the last month listing of Litecoin on SIFOX, Charlie Lee, in an interview disclosed his interest in Monero. Responding to the question “which blockchain project can be viewed as a competitor to Litecoin,” Charlie who is the former Director of Engineering at Coinbase flagged Monero is a wonderful project, adding that he admires the privacy and fungibility of the cryptocurrency.
“Another project that I’m interested in as Monero: I think a bit of privacy and fungibility is something that’s missing from Bitcoin and Litecoin, and it’s very much needed”, Charlie Lee said.
At the Interview, the founder, who also served as an engineer at Google discussed what inspired him to start, and the relationship Litecoin and Bitcoin.
Charlie’s Interest in Monero (XMR)
Before now, Charlie Lee had been echoing his interest in Monero’s anonymity protocol in the space. He had be hoping for the creation of a protocol that would allow people execute transactions between blockchains of different currencies.
Ethereum (ETH)-Zcash (ZEC) Possible Crypto Merger
Previously, Today’s Gazette reported that the founder of Ethereum, Vitalik Butterin, in response to a question on social media that which two Cryptocurrency have the chance of the first crypto merger, said it would be very interesting if the ETH’s Proof of Stake (PoS) and ZEC’s first-class snark are integrated together.
Later, the founder of the world second largest Cryptocurrency noted that this could only happen if the community of the two coins highly trust each other.
